Milo enjoyed diving through the snow on our hike and again did a good job of keeping Roger Roger from getting too wild.  Rucksack and Thompson had fun running full-speed and then throwing themselves down, mid-stride, shoulder-first, and rolling through the snow.  It was an odd behavior that I don't recall witnessing before, but they both were having a ball doing it.  Mamacita alternated between at times being excited about the snow and doing her sign...

Benny, Oliver, Sputnik, and Roger Roger all got their pictures taken with a "doggy santa" at the trailhead today. Sputnik just wanted to sniff around the area where the photo was taken, I'm guessing because "doggy santa" had treats and some crumbs probably fell on the ground. Mamacita was very eager to get out on the trails today. She spent much of the car ride whining over my shoulder to let me know how important it was. Thompson left a lot of scent marks along the way, as he usually does; however, Milo surprisingly didn't follow suit and instead just hiked along at my side. Roger Roger also hiked along nicely with his packmates.

The pack stopped to greet some friendly hikers at the trailhead today and everyone got some love. Oliver, Sputnik and Roger Roger all got a bit worked up over a passing dog and they barked and growled; however, they all managed to settle down pretty quickly. Benny stayed calm throughout.

Adventure Pack

Milo and Benny enjoyed wandering and exploring the trails together in the snow.  Sadie was pulling her way up the mountain at first but eventually settled into pace with me and the rest of the pack.  Roger Roger gave Milo and Benny eager greetings whenever they sidled up after going off exploring.

Adventure Pack

Rucksack served as a jungle gym on today's hike.  It started off when Roger Roger slipped underneath him and came out the other side with a leash on.  I directed him back through the other way, and then Mamacita wanted in on the fun and started to follow under Rucksack, behind Roger Roger.  I then managed to get Mamacita to back up and then we were able to continue hiking.  Benny and Milo explored off the trail together and took their time.

The pack had a nice hike in beautiful weather today.  Roger Roger nibbled Benny's ears a bit but was mostly pretty calm.  Sputnik and Oliver growled at a a passing German Shepherd so I took a moment to have them sit and wait at the side of the trail before we headed on.

Sadie was very excited to see her friend Roger Roger again as she joined the pack for today's hike, and she jumped all over him as we first set out on the trails.  Roger Roger grabbed a stick early on in the hike but only carried it briefly before deciding it wasn't worth the effort.  Thompson saw a squirrel run up a tree and he sat at the base of the tree and watched for a while before finally catching up with the rest of the pack.  Mamacita growled...
