We met a number of friendly dogs on the trail today, and one dog who was a bit less friendly and growled as he passed by.  Coco, Benny, Milo, Rucksack, and Roger Roger were all very well behaved and friendly themselves.  About halfway through the hike we passed a dead rabbit on the trail and Coco and Benny had a hard time fighting their urge to check it out but ultimately listened when I told them to leave it.  Roger Roger enjoyed nibbling and lickin...

Roger Roger found a stick along the trail today that he carried along for a while, taking after his big brother.  Sputnik tried to steal the object of interest from his packmate but I had him leave it so Roger Roger could enjoy his find.  Oliver sniffed a lot along the side of the trail and lingered frequently and spots of interest.  Rucksack, Benny, and the pups all enjoyed checking out their little packmate's olfactory discoveries.

After some work in the beginning of the hike, we had everyone walking in a tight group even when Rucksack and Milo were off the leash.  They made a great example for Coco and Roger Roger, who were both still a bit too scattered and excited to stay close without the leashes on.  We met a few friendly dogs along the way and the pack went from rushing and swarming around the unfamiliar dog to casually sniffing and hanging out by the last dog we met.  It...

Sputnik and Roger Roger got a chance to let all their puppy energy out together on the trails today.  Roger Roger chased after Sputnik, who always kept a good lead until he'd turn around and the two of them would have a brief face off.  Then, Roger Roger would dive for Sputnik and Sputnik would tackle him, hop around him, and then take off running again.  They had a great time together.  Later on, Benny and Rucksack explored together but Rucksac...

Coco and Milo had fun exploring all around the trails together on the first leg of this morning's hike.  Milo splashed through a stream while Coco tested her athleticism by leaping over it from one bank to the other.  Later, Rucksack and Benny had a turn to romp.  They were having a great time together but Benny stumbled into a stick and got stuck in the neck.  He went for a vet visit and is doing fine, though - the stick only broke skin and did...

I was impressed with how well the pack stuck together and stayed calm while we walked the trail on leash today.  Even when other dogs came up to say 'hello' everyone sniffed politely instead of swarming the new dog with high-intensity excitement and getting leashes tangled.  Roger Roger and Coco had a bout of wrestling about halfway through the hike today.  After that, Roger Roger tried to harass Milo into doing the same with him but Milo just grumbl...

Today the pack was much more patient and did a great job of walking together.  We took a few breaks for everyone to sniff around off the sides of the trails.  Sputnik, Roger Roger, and Rucksack were all happy to take the opportunities; Benny was also interested though not quite as enthusiastic as his packmates; Oliver stayed on the trail and waited until we were ready to keep moving.

The pack was raring to go today.  It took some effort to get everyone to walk together. Osito stubbornly wanted to pull over to anything that caught his interest, including every other dog that passed by; Roger Roger kept trying to tackle Milo, who didn't really appreciate the barrage of puppy energy; Coco always wanted to be a step ahead of everyone and wouldn't walk on a loose leash for more than a few paces at a time.  However, we managed to all get on...

Rucksack and Roger Roger rejoined the pack today with Benny, Oliver, and Sputnik as we explored the trails at the undeveloped land of the CU South Campus.  We saw a couple horses in the distance but never crossed paths with them, though we did see plenty of dogs again today.  It took a little effort to get everyone back on the same page of walking together but by the end everyone was doing a very good job.  The whole pack enjoyed a couple water break...

Milo, Coco, and Benny explored the trails at the CU South tennis complex today.  There were a lot of friendly dogs out and the pack was happy to greet them all.  We came upon a few ponds and large puddles that everyone had a great time splashing around in.
