Mogul joined Coco for the hike this morning, and the two of them trotted along side-by-side together most of the way.  Coco tried enticing Mogul into play, but he was just focused on moving ahead (and peeing in bushes).

Mogul was greeted by a yellow Lab mix named Honey at the park who wiggled around in front of him and licked at his face like Keeyush did last week.  Mogul opened his mouth wide with his teeth bared, letting Honey know that he was the boss.  Hon...

Coco and Rucksack had fun stealing a stick back and forth from one another again on the hike today.  Mogul made friends with a few kids when he wandered in between them and they all started petting him.  He looked at me with a grin and stood there enjoying the attention for a couple minutes.  When I called him to come along, he was very hesitant to give up his new friends.

At the park, Coco played with a young brown pup named Lily and a young tan pup wh...

During today's hike, we came across a stray feather in the middle of the trail.  It piqued Coco's curiosity and she walked up and gave it a sniff.  By the way she started dancing around it, it seemed she thought the feather was an actual live bird that she wanted to play with!  It reminded me that although Coco has grown so much since I started walking her, she's still young and has a lot to learn about the world.

Osiris and Coco played a lot together at the p...

Toskey is learning to greet me at the door by sitting and waiting before I come all the way in now, since she's had a tendency to jump up on me in excitement.  Coco has some trouble with jumping when she greets me too, so I've been doing the same thing with her.  If either of them gets up out of the sit when I open the door (or gate, in Coco's case), it immediately gets closed and I have them sit and wait again.  If they jump on me once I step in, I immediately go back outside ...

It was a hot day today and the couple creeks we passed by seemed to again be the highlight of the hike for Mogul, Rucksack, and Coco.  Rucskack and Coco also enjoyed carrying sticks; they passed one back and forth at the beginning of the hike and then each found one of their own later on.  At one point, Rucksack and Coco came around a big rock with me to get some shade up at the third flatiron.  Mogul was only about 10 feet behind but he must have gotten distracted by a passing...

Coco and Rucksack hiked together today, and they had a great time.  They started off running along side-by-side.  A short way into the hike, Rucksack found a stick he liked and brought it with us.  Coco stole it from him after a while and then Rucksack stole it back, and it went back and forth like that for about half the hike until they both left the stick behind.  Only a short while later, Rucksack found a huge stick that was about 5 feet long and pretty thick.  Coc...

Today's Adventure Pack was all filled up with Mogul, Rucksack, Coco, and the temporary additon of Toskey (who usually joins Coco on Tuesdays)!  Everyone got along great, and Rucksack and Toskey especially hit it off.  The two of them began the hike with plenty of side-by-side running and pawing around with each other.  I made a point of keeping Mogul up with the group again today, so when he started lagging behind I waited and called for him.  He would trot up to about 5 f...

Coco found a big stick floating in the creek we stopped by at the beginning of today's hike, but she only carried it along for a short while.  Several butterflies along the trail came within a few inches of their lives at her snapping jaws.

Once we arrived at the park, Rucksack took off for a good run followed closely by Coco, Coco was in turn followed closely by Hershey, and Rucksack soon turned his attention to Hershey; so they were all following one another in playfu...

Toward the end of today's hike, Coco and Toskey had a play battle over a stick.  Coco was the first to pick it up and Toskey went chasing after her for it.  Coco turned around and they both froze for a second before Coco dropped the stick and launched herself into the air toward Toskey, as Toskey reared up on her hind legs to tackle Coco.  After a moment of wrestling, Toskey found her way around Coco and was about to grab the stick from behind her, but Coco realized Toskey's pl...

Rucksack carried his trademark huge branch during the beginning of today's hike, while Coco trotted along with a small stick.  Mogul's favorite part of the hike was lying down for a dip in the creek, which he got to do twice - once at the beginning of the hike and again toward the end.  While Mogul lied down, Rucksack and Coco splashed around in the water.

Hershey was just as brave on his second trip to the park as he was on his first.  It's not unusual for ne...
