Adventure Pack
Rucksack and Roger Roger ran through the brush together and Rucksack returned to the trail with a huge plant stem hanging from his head. Benny made friendly greetings with passing dogs as they approached the pack and then the rest of the pack would catch up and make their greetings. Roger Roger and Sputnik had a brief wrestle. Milo made frequent stops to mark our way along the trail.

Adventure Pack
Milo ventured far off the side of the trail today and had no interest in coming back when I called him. I brought the rest of the pack to go round him up and then put him back on the leash for the rest of the day's outing. Meanwhile, Roger Roger did a good job of behaving himself off the leash. At first, he gnawed on his brother's legs but he listened when I told him to stop and then he was great for the rest of the hike. He occassionally came over...

Adventure Pack
Milo and Rucksack ventured down to the stream that runs alongside a part of the trail we took today. Then they crossed it together to check out the other side before returning to the rest of the pack. Benny stuck with Sputnik, Roger Roger, and me. Sputnik wanted to join his elders in their exploration and pulled at the leash more than usual today.

Adventure Pack
Milo and Benny both stuck close to the pack as they explored along the sides of the trail today. Roger Roger behaved himself very well off the leash today. He followed Milo around for a bit and then prodded at Benny to play but didn't get too carried away with himself. Rucksack found a small stick to carry. Roger Roger grabbed onto a nub that protruded from the side of Rucksack's mouth as they walked side-by-side for a while. Mamacita ...

Adventure Pack
The snow this morning was slightly melted and perfect for quickly forming snowballs so the pack had some fun playing catch. Rucksack was easily the most dedicated snowball enthusiast of the group. Roger Roger also got pretty into it, but his attention soon turned to harassing his brother instead. Benny was surprisingly excited by the snowballs as well, and actually went out of his way to try to catch a few. Mamacita and Milo were the least i...

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger again found a small stick in the snow to carry along for a brief while. Nobody else took up stick duties when he was done with it. Sputnik did a good job greeting the dogs we passed nicely. Milo and Rucksack had fun running through the snow together. Benny ran about on his own, directionless and full of excitement, at the start of the hike; then he settled into a slow, steady pace alongside me and his younger, leashed packmates.

Adventure Pack
Thompson and Rucksack had a great time running alongside each other on the trails today. Thompson was the most animated I've seen him in a while, romping with his packmate and rolling around in the snow. Milo joined Thompson and Rucksack to explore early on but then fell into position just behind me, Roger Roger, and Mamacita. Roger Roger took a turn off the leash but it ended quickly as he wouldn't stop harassing and barking at his big brother.

Adventure Pack
Milo and Rucksack had fun running and dodging each other in the field alongside the trail today. Roger Roger barked in jealousy and nervous excitement as he watched his brother run through the snow. We came across several excited dogs who all rushed up to say hello and Sputnik stayed calm when greeting. Benny kept close while Milo and Rucksack wandered.

Adventure Pack
Milo was feeling very social today and went ahead to greet all the dogs we passed. He was especially interested in a group of three off-leash Vizslas. Their mom was wary of how her dogs would react but Milo wouldn't listen when I called him back; however, they all made happy greetings and Milo was very hesitant to leave his new friends behind. Benny was much more attentive whenever I called him back to the group to let other hikers and cross-count...
