Adventure Pack
This morning's walk along the creek was calm and uneventful. Milo, Benny, Rucksack, and Roger Roger all trotted along happily and drank from the CamelBak during water breaks. Near the end of the walk, Rucksack started licking Milo's ears as he has done in the past, which doesn't seem to bother Milo.

We took a leisurely pace along the creek today. Milo, Roger Roger, Benny, Mamacita, and Isaac all greeted a young boy nicely when he asked to come say hello. He was especially amused by Roger Roger, who kept nosing his way in between the boy and the other dogs.

Rucksack was very interested in pinecones today. There was one right in the middle of the trail and I saw him fixate on it as we approached. Roger Roger noticed his brother's interest and followed his example. When we came upon the pinecone, Rucksack and Roger Roger both dove for it. Rucksack got to it first and then Roger Roger quickly lost interest. Rucksack only carried it for a little while before leaving it behind, and temporarily...

Milo wanted to greet every dog we passed today, and whimpered when they went by without saying hello. Thompson was more concerned with when our next break at the creek was going to be. Isaac was also interested in getting in the creek, and at the end of the walk he slipped his collar in Eben G. Fine Park and then bolted for Boulder Creek to get soaked just before it was time to hop in the car.

Benny was only slightly less overcome with excitement when he greeted Milo in the car today, but Milo had a little less patience for the giddy assault and was quicker to start grumbling at his enthusiastic packmate. Benny kept in stride a bit more consistently today than yesterday, with Roger Roger walking alongside him. Rucksack kept at my side without pulling much at all, except that when we headed down to the creek he couldn't help himself.

Benny is back! And he was very, very excited to see his buddy Milo when he hopped into the car. Milo wasn't as effusive as his young protege, but I think he was happy to see Benny because he put up with all the face licking for far longer than usual before finally cuffing Benny's muzzle to let him know he had enough. Roger Roger and Rucksack perked up on our way to the packmobile when I said Benny's name, and they greeted him enthusiastically....

There were no sandwiches or chicken bones along the path this morning for Rucksack and Roger Roger to feast on. Milo made a few quick stops to pee early on in the walk, but spent most of the time just trotting along without feeling compelled to mark territory.

We headed up the Red Rocks trails today. Thompson headed straight down to the stream after we crossed the bridge that passes over it, and Milo and Rucksack were quick to follow. Roger Roger discovered a bone from a bird that he chewed for a few moments before I realized what he had and made him leave t behind.

Milo seemed determined to pee on everything he possibly could today. Eventually, about halfway through the walk, he fell into a steady walking rhythm with less frequent pee stops. Rucksack and Roger Rogerboth walked along happily and were glad to take any opportunity to sniff around. Rucksack managed to gobble up some of the remnants of a sandwich left on the ground at the edge of the sidewalk before I realized it was there.

Milo, Rucksack, and Roger Roger enjoyed a walk along Boulder Creek this morning. It stayed relatively cool throughout the walk. Milo stopped periodically along the way to mark spots of interest. Rucksack and Roger Roger were less concerned with marking but enthusiastically investigated scents whenever we paused along the path.
