Adventure Pack
Roger Roger again found a small stick to carry along for much of the hike today, although he didn't hold onto it quite as long as the last one. Rucksack opted for a pinecone instead. Roger Roger behaved himself very well off the leash today, keeping up a good recent record. Benny and Oliver were too busy sniffing around off the side of the trail to carry anything.

Adventure Pack
Milo and Thompson started off the hike going back and forth peeing on the same spots, and it took some effort to get them moving along the trail. Roger Roger found a manageable stick to carry along for the hike today and had it for almost the entire time out. Mamacita behaved herself well on the trails even when passing hikers wanted to pet her.

Adventure Pack
Benny and Oliver greeted a group of three little girls on our way up the Chautauqua trail. They were very happy to say hello to cute little Oliver and then when Benny mosied over they laughed at how he wandered right into the middle of the group, sniffing gently at their ears. It was too late when I noticed the sandwich one girl was holding. Thankfully, the girls and their moms (or babysitters) laughed off Benny's attempt at snagging a free meal.&...

Adventure Pack
We headed to CU South for a less strenuous walk after me having been sick last week, and pack members Charlie and Coco joined Milo, Benny, Rucksack, and Roger Roger for the day. The pack got some practice with walking as a group on leash, as they seemed to need the work. Rucksack and Charlie were the most eager to pull ahead and regularly had to be reminded to drop back into pace with the rest of us. Milo, Benny, Roger Roger, and Coco did a good j...

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger found Rucksack's stick from Tuesday, still on the side of the trail where Rucksack left it. After a brief sniff, Roger Roger was about to leave it behind until Rucksack noticed it and ran over. Then Roger Roger decided it was in fact worth carrying, and he snatched it up. It was only about a hundred yards until we reached the parking lot but Roger Roger dropped it before then, once his brother stopped paying attention to him. Mea...

Adventure Pack
Benny was thrilled to see his friend Milo after a long weekend apart. Milo tolerated Benny's enthusiasm to a point before he started snarling at his packmate. Benny just pushed his snout into Milo's open jaws, trusting that his friend wouldn't really hurt him, which he didn't. On the trails, Rucksack found a small stick that Roger Roger contested briefly before giving it up to his older brother.

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger has been behaving himself better and better off the leash so long as Rucksack isn't off the leash with him at the same time. People often comment on little Oliver undertaking the trails with the big dogs, but between him and Benny he definitely has more endurance for the hike.

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger had a great time playing with a one-year-old pup we encountered on the trails. The two of them ran all around together before we eventually parted ways. Rucksack let out a few whines while watching his brother have fun without him, since he was on the leash. Milo said hello to the pup but was more interested in sniffing and peeing than in playing.

Benny, Oliver, and Roger Roger hiked the Mesa trail today. It was a bit muddier than I expected and was sparsely traveled but the pack didn't seem to mind it at all as we made our way. I had a bit more trouble navigating slippery, muddy inclines but I managed to keep up.

Rucksack found an old piece of wood today that looked like it came from a fence, and he hauled it for the last leg of our hike. He, Milo, and Benny all enjoyed licking dew from the soaked grass while Roger Roger just looked on without partaking.

Sadie's friend Scruffy was at the park today and upon our arrival they instantly started playing. Stella and Mamacita headed to the far end of the park and Sadie eventual...
