Thompson and Milo brought up the rear together on our way up the mountain this morning.  Eventually, Thompson took the lead while Milo stayed back and followed the rest of us from a short distance.  There was one area off the trail where Thompson explored for a little bit and was followed by Milo.  Eventually, I had to wade through the brush to round Thompson up.  Milo came along on his own accord.  Rucksack and Roger Roger happily greeted ...

Rucksack seemed especially excited about going out today, and wrestled around a little with Roger Roger when I picked them up at their house.  The pack all hiked in a close group today.  Benny actually kept up the entire time without stopping in the shade.  I think that's because it was so overcast that there weren't any spots that were noticeably more shady than others.  Oliver kept up well without lingering far behind or running up ahead of th...

Adventure Pack

Milo, Benny, Rucksack, and Roger Roger all hiked along together at a fairly quick pace today.  That is, until the final leg when Benny was tuckered out and kept stalling every time we came across a bit of shade, even though it wasn't very hot out.  Neither Rucksack nor Roger Roger found any sticks or pinecones they felt were worth carrying today.  Milo made less pit stops to scent-mark than usual today and was happy to just keep on the move.

Benny and Oliver hiked alongside each other while Rucksack and Roger Roger stuck together at my side.  Oliver didn't forge ahead on our way up the trail like he did the other day, and was instead content to follow his brother around.  Something off in the distance seemed to catch Rucksack's attention.  I couldn't figure out what it was, but he spent a couple minutes staring off and taking stutter steps toward the side of the trail before I would redi...

A grasshopper hitched a ride on Roger Roger for a short while.  He didn't seem to mind, or even notice.  After a bit, the grasshopper decided that Rucksack looked like more fun and hopped over to him before jumping off at his stop.  Meanwhile, Thompson, Milo, and Benny trotted along at my other side and didn't accumulate any hitchhikers.

Milo and Benny hiked nose-to-tail behind me, Rucksack, and Roger Roger for much of today's outing. Other hikers commented on how well behaved the pack was as they calmly trotted along the trails.

Oliver took his time to explore when he was off leash, and then had to race to catch up with the rest of the pack.  Roger Roger lingered behind with his little packmate some of the time and other times he walked right alongside Rucksack.  As the hike went on, Benny started lying down in the shade whenever he had the opportunity.
